![]() ![]() NWN2 has a stronger single player in my opinion thanks to the party system. Its sadly never going to be enhanced, it has a few bugs still, and way less community content. NWN2 has the more modern, much harder to use Electron toolset. NWN2 on the other hand is more party-focused, as now you can switch between party members on the fly just like you can in say, Dragon Age Origins. NWN1 adapts DnD 3e while NWN2 adapts 3.5e. Sure you can get an AI henchmen or two alongside your familiar/summons, but ultimately the main focus lies in multiplayer with others. NWN1 gameplay wise is more focused on the player. NWN1 has a ton of official, premium, and community content, a faithful player base, an easy-to-use Aurora toolset, and a good stream of new content being uploaded to the vault. It's a strange case where both games are very good, but both have interesting pros and cons. I've put 130 hours in on NWN1 and 48 on NWN2 so far.
